I cannot say how much I love when client families turn into wonderful relationships. I've been able to work with member's of Jimmy's family now for a number of weddings and sessions and his family are some of the best people I know. So when these two got engaged and contacted me about photographing their wedding, I was SO SO SO happy! That, and the fact this couple makes other couples have couple envy ;) I couldn't wait to photograph them!
Their wedding will be in the Detroit area, but the couple chose to have their engagement session in the Grand Rapids, Michigan area and everything about that day was perfect. Well, it WAS a crazy hot and humid day, but, we photographed till the sun went down...and then some! Every frame was perfection with these two and it was tough narrowing down some for the blog post. But for now, here are a few from our adventures wandering around Grand Rapids...
First stop, coffee. Because, it really does make for some super cute photos. And Madcap Coffee in the downtown Grand Rapids area is just the cutest.

That city skyline is just perfect!
The little park we were shooting at happened to have some kind of festival that included a number of people dressed up like super heroes. And when a gorgeous couple, dressed up, happens to be walking down the street with a photographer following them runs into a group of them, a photo is an absolute MUST. Totally random, but it's not every day this happens!!
After wandering downtown for a bit, we headed west to the lakeshore. I love shooting in Michigan so much because you are never far from the beach! From the dunes in Traverse City, to the rocky shores along Lake Superior in Marquette, and the miles and miles of coast Michigan has, it's all a favorite of mine! This little spot is a special location to Jimmy and Haz and it was the perfect spot for some more images.
We had the beach to ourselves and it was wonderful. Watching the sunset at this special place, capturing this couple, it was a total favorite!!
